1. What We Collect
We collect the minimum data necessary to provide and improve NetWorthed. The information we collect includes:
- Account information — Your email address and basic profile details, collected through Clerk (our authentication provider) when you sign up.
- Positions and trades — Options positions, trade history, and portfolio data that you enter into NetWorthed.
- Chat messages — Conversations you have with Penny, our AI assistant, including any text and images you send.
- Usage analytics — Anonymous usage data such as page views, feature interactions, and session information, collected through PostHog.
- Payment information — When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are collected and processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data for the following purposes:
- Provide the service — Display your positions, generate AI-powered insights, and deliver the features you use.
- Improve AI responses — Your chat history with Penny helps provide contextual and relevant responses within your own sessions. We do not use your data to train third-party AI models.
- Send notifications — Deliver alerts, weekly digests, and account-related communications you have opted into.
- Process payments — Manage subscriptions, billing, and invoicing through Stripe.
3. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following third-party services to operate NetWorthed. Each processes data in accordance with their own privacy policies:
- Clerk — Authentication and user management. Processes your email and sign-in credentials.
- OpenRouter — AI model routing. When you chat with Penny, your messages are sent to large language model providers (such as OpenAI and Anthropic) through OpenRouter to generate responses.
- Railway — Application hosting and database infrastructure. Your data is stored on Railway-managed PostgreSQL servers.
- PostHog — Product analytics. Collects anonymized usage data to help us understand how people use NetWorthed.
- Stripe — Payment processing. Handles subscriptions, billing, and payment method storage.
- Resend — Transactional email delivery. Used for account notifications and communications.
4. Data Retention
Your account data, positions, trades, and chat history are retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
Analytics data collected through PostHog is anonymized after 90 days and cannot be linked back to individual users after that point.
5. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Deletion — Delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings.
- Export — Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
- Correction — Update or correct inaccurate personal information through your account settings.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@networthed.com or delete your account directly from your settings page.
6. Cookies
NetWorthed uses a limited number of cookies:
- Clerk session cookies — Required for authentication. These cookies keep you signed in and are essential for the service to function.
- PostHog analytics cookies — Used to collect anonymized usage data to help us improve the product.
We do not use advertising cookies or share cookie data with advertisers. We do not participate in cross-site tracking.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data:
- All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
- Data at rest is encrypted on our hosting provider's infrastructure.
- Authentication is handled via JWT tokens with short expiry windows.
- Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel only.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
NetWorthed is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a user under 18 has provided personal information, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. If we make material changes, we will notify you through an in-app notification or via email before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was most recently revised.
